absolutely yes. It's normal to be worried or concerned about this because once you have a hysterectomy you can't go back. I've had orgasms before surgery but they always caused me to be full of pain and I had a lot of pressure in my pelvic area. Once the uterus and cervix were removed I felt so much better. I had to wait till dr. cleared me though as there are many internatl stitches including stitches at the very top of the vagina. They did feel different to me at first but with time they got better. Check out hystersisters.com and they can help give you lots of info and support before and after surgery. That site was a life saver for me and I learned so much.

I have a much higher sex drive since having the surgery but remember I kept both my ovaries so that may have made a difference. When I go through menopause normally I don't know if I'll feel the same.
